Were Aborigines the first AMERICANS?
A genetic study finds three native Amazonian tribes share more DNA with Australian Aborigines than any other present-day population. The study suggests Aboriginal ancestors may have colonised South America. This challenges theories of how Native Americans first arrived in the Americas.
Australian Aborigines, together with indigenous populations in New Guinea and the Andaman Islands, are thought to be descended from one of the earliest groups of modern humans to migrate out of Africa around 60,000 years ago.
They are thought to have been a sea faring people who were able to hop between the islands that extend from Asia to Australia.
The new findings suggest their descendants may have ranged far further and could have crossed the vast ocean expanse between Australia and south America.
However, the researchers say they could have also travelled across ice sheets to the north.
Professor David Reich, a geneticist at Harvard Medical School who led the study, said: ‘It’s incredibly surprising.
‘There’s a strong working model in archaeology and genetics, of which I have been a proponent, that most Native Americans today extend from a single pulse of expansion south of the ice sheets-and that’s wrong.
‘We missed something very important in the original data.
‘About 2 per cent of the ancestry of Amazonians today comes from this Australasian lineage that’s not present in the same way elsewhere in the Americas.’
The researchers, whose work is published in the journal Nature, analysed the DNA from 21 Native American populations in Central and South America.
Native Brazilian people like the Xavante (above) may owe much of their origins to the ancestors of Aborigines in Australasia. Two other tribes, the Suruí and the Karitiana, were also found to have a similar genetic ancestry

Don’t worry, lightning never strikes twice
Lightning is the stuff of myths and legends and may have even provided the first spark for life on Earth. There’s nothing like a dramatic interplay of lightning and thunder for atmosphere and fear, but is it really true that lighting never strikes twice? And what does lightning have to do with volcanoes?
Unfortunately for anyone whose house had been struck by lightning (or who uses this expression to suggest a negative event is unlikely to re-occur) the exact opposite is true. Some areas and places are simply more prone to being hit by lightning.
“The geographic conditions that lead to the storm coming through and causing lightning are fixed – the mountains are there, the buildings are there,” says Dr Karl Kruszelnicki.
“So, you’re more likely to have lightning hit the same place more than once.” ABC weatherman Graham Creed agrees.
“These days lightning rods get hit multiple times and other things such as large trees or overly metallic rocks can become lightning attractors,” he says.
The world record for a person being struck by lightning is held by American Roy C Sullivan, an ex-park ranger who survived being struck seven times. Many people thought he was a human conductor, but his job just happened to mean he spent a lot of time outdoors in a national park where there were a lot of lightning storms, says Dr Karl.

The concept of a shocking ‘bolt from the blue’ is based on reality. Lightning can indeed move well in advance of a storm and hit the ground without any obvious warnings.
“Lightning can travel up to 16 kilometres ahead of a thunderstorm,” says Creed.
Dr Karl tells the story of a jet at a United States Air Force base that was refuelling on a sunny, cloudless day. But there was a storm on the horizon. “Then bingo, it sent a lightning bolt to the aeroplane and blew up the fuel vapour and killed a bunch of people,” he says.
Where did today’s technology come from?
Many people today ask themselves from where does today’s technology come from? Rocket’s, Satellites, mobile phones and other high tech devices that became so popular in the 21st century, but where do they originate from? How did mankind acquire such technology?
17 Miles north-east of Jerusalem lies the ancient ruins of the city of Jericho at this location archaeologists have uncovered evidence of settlements dating back to 9000 BC.
According to the Hebrew Bible, Jericho is believed to be where God spoke to Joshua, and instructed him to march around the City walls once every six days with seven priests carrying rams’ horns and followed by the ark of the covenant, the golden chest containing the ten commandments, on the seventh day, under God’s orders Joshua and the Israelites marched around the perimeter of the city one last time but this time, and on that they blew the rams’ horns. The walls of Jericho fell And the city was sacked. To what can we attribute such a happening? Ancient technology?

Humans Have Foreign Genes That DID Not Originate From Our Ancestors
Research study from BioMed Central has uncovered new details regarding the transfer of genes in a specific environments, suggesting that in reality, an environment is extremely critical to the ‘evolution of a species’ and can affect the way that a species develops.
Researchers are talking about Horizontal Gene Transfer or HGT. The idea about HGT is that genes and DNA can be transferred between different species living in the same environment. His idea is extremely popular in relationship to single-celled organisms but is contradictory to our previous model of evolution which basically states that species would only evolve from genetic information that passed down through the lineage of species and not in cross pollinate between other species.
Lead author Alastair Crisp from the University of Cambridge, UK, said: “This is the first study to show how widely horizontal gene transfer (HGT) occurs in animals, including humans, giving rise to tens or hundreds of active ‘foreign’ genes. Surprisingly, far from being a rare occurrence, it appears that HGT has contributed to the evolution of many, perhaps all, animals and that the process is ongoing, meaning that we may need to re-evaluate how we think about evolution.” Read more here
The Earth Rises: on the Moon
NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) recently captured a unique view of Earth from the spacecraft’s vantage point in orbit around the moon.
“The image is simply stunning,” said Noah Petro, Deputy Project Scientist for LRO at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Centre in Greenbelt, Maryland. “The image of the Earth evokes the famous ‘Blue Marble‘ image taken by Astronaut Harrison Schmitt during Apollo 17, 43 years ago, which also showed Africa prominently in the picture.”
In this composite image we see Earth appear to rise over the lunar horizon from the viewpoint of the spacecraft, with the centre of the Earth just off the coast of Liberia (at 4.04 degrees North, 12.44 degrees West). The large tan area in the upper right is the Sahara Desert, and just beyond is Saudi Arabia. The Atlantic and Pacific coasts of South America are visible to the left. On the moon, we get a glimpse of the crater Compton, which is located just beyond the eastern limb of the moon, on the lunar far side.
LRO was launched on June 18, 2009, and has collected a treasure trove of data with its seven powerful instruments, making an invaluable contribution to our knowledge about the moon. LRO experiences 12 earth-rises every day; however the spacecraft is almost always busy imaging the lunar surface so only rarely does an opportunity arise such that its camera instrument can capture a view of Earth. Occasionally LRO points off into space to acquire observations of the extremely thin lunar atmosphere and perform instrument calibration measurements. During these movements sometimes Earth (and other planets) pass through the camera’s field of view and dramatic images such as the one shown here are acquired.

In case you were worried …
In case you were worried about the progress of a certain red clad jolly gentleman and his reindeer across the Earth, you can let your worries go! Norad tracks Santa, and has tracking Santa as a community service – with volunteers participating – for many years.
NORAD Tracks Santa is an annual Christmas-themed entertainment program, which has existed since 1955, produced under the auspices of the North American Aerospace Defence Command (NORAD). Every year on Christmas Eve, “NORAD Tracks Santa” engages its staff – and volunteer Santa Trackers to track Santa Claus as he leaves the North Pole and delivers presents to children around the world.
The program began on December 24, 1955, when a Sears department store placed an advertisement in a Colorado Springs newspaper which told children that they could telephone Santa Claus and included a number for them to call. However, the telephone number printed was misprinted and calls instead came through to Colorado Springs’ Continental Air Defence Command (CONAD) Center. Colonel Harry Shoup, who was on duty that night, told his staff to give all children who called in a “current location” for Santa Claus. A tradition began which continued when the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) replaced CONAD in 1958.
Today, NORAD relies on volunteers to make the program possible. Each volunteer handles about forty telephone calls per hour, and the team typically handles more than 12,000 e-mails and more than 70,000 telephone calls from more than two hundred countries and territories. Most of these contacts happen during the twenty-five hours from 2 a.m. on December 24 until 3 a.m. MST on December 25. Google Analytics has been in use since December 2007 to analyse traffic at the NORAD Tracks Santa website. As a result of this analysis information, the program can project and scale volunteer staffing, telephone equipment, and computer equipment needs for Christmas Eve. Volunteers include NORAD military and civilian personnel.

Rare Full Moon on Christmas Day
Not since 1977 has a full moon dawned in the skies on Christmas. But this year, a bright full moon will be an added gift for the holidays. December’s full moon, the last of the year, is called the Full Cold Moon because it occurs during the beginning of winter. The moon’s peak this year will occur at 6:11 a.m. EST in the US, and in Oceania, at 10:11pm AEDT.
This rare event won’t happen again until 2034. That’s a long time to wait, so make sure to look up to the skies on Christmas Day. As you gaze up at the Christmas moon, take note that NASA has a spacecraft currently orbiting Earth’s moon. The Cosmic Hierarchy have advised us that the times of the Full Moon are times when energy is magnified, and multiplied. Groups sitting together in meditation on peace, harmony, goodwill towards all have a manifold affect on the energies surrounding our planet when they do this on the Full Moon day. If it is not possible to do so on the actual day, then, we have been told, the day before or the day after will also serve as days of excellence in sending out positive harmony, peace and helpful energies to all places on our Earth.
Meditating on light can raise the level of light within the individual. Meditating on light for our home, Planet Earth, can raise the level of light in places where this is needed. For LIGHT can be, as you know when you turn on a light in a room it has different voltages in different countries – in some countries it is brighter – sometimes it is darker. In a way, the Light in each individual on this Earth is the same. Sometimes it is brighter and sometimes it is darker. Such meditation is always of help to others.

Were these remote islands the centre of everything?
Orkney’s number of Stone Age sites implies that the remote Scottish islands once may have been at the centre of it all. But why? An exciting new discovery could hold the clues.
When the owners of Brodgar Farm ploughed up a large notched stone in their field in 2003, they knew it was no normal rock. Someone had altered it. And given the farm’s location, it wouldn’t have been surprising if that someone had lived a very, very long time ago.
Even so, no one had any idea of the discovery that lay ahead.
“I don’t think anyone could have predicted what we found,” said head archaeologist Nick Card. “It’s rewriting aspects of prehistory.”
Brodgar Farm – now best known for the site found on its property, called the Ness of Brodgar – is on the Mainland island of the Orkney archipelago, about 30 miles off Scotland’s northern coast. The site sits on a finger-like peninsula between the lochs of Harray and Stenness – and at the centre of an archaeological gold mine. On a hill half a mile northwest is the Ring of Brodgar, a stone circle erected around the same time as Stonehenge, some 4,500 years ago. A third of a mile in the other direction are the Stones of Stenness, erected two centuries before that.

The Crystalline Grids
Many of our readers here would know that Cosmic Sai Baba and Jalarm – along with others of the Cosmic Hierarchy – have spoken of the stargates and the crystal energy. The crystal energy is both within the Earth, and within the Human, in what Jalarm calls “the crystal consciousness”. Valerie has made many references to the purposes and uses of crystals in her book, and of course, the Alcheringa Crystal is located at Canyonleigh, at Satori Springs.
The following is from Evenstar Creations website, and mentions many matters raised by Cosmic Sai Baba and Jalarm. All who are members of the Cosmic Hierarchy tell us that there are many schools around the Earth exploring the deeper mysteries and the way forward to life in the 5th Dimension.
There are three main Grids that operate through and around Earth; the first we will look at is the Crystalline Grid, which links the Crystals in the Earth. Where this Grid crosses are major portals, vortexes and dimensional doorways that connect the Inner Earth and Earth to other dimensional worlds, Stars and Planets in the Galaxy, Solar System and Beyond. The Crystalline Grid keeps harmony within the Earth plane and at the portals links the Earth to the Stars and Universe to have harmony with our neighbours in space. When the meridians are free and flowing and we are in good health within our body and with other beings, so also with the Grids in the Earth. The Ancients were aware of this and so constructed Pyramids, Temples, Standing Stones, Stone Circles to align this energy with the Stars and Inner Earth and hold the beam as it were, as well as creating dimensional gateways for beings to travel from other worlds. These beings are from different Star Systems, Universes and Worlds, and all have an agenda with Earth. Many of them having been here for aeons, or actually starting the story of life on Earth.

Pacem in Terris
Pacem in Terris was the first encyclical that a Pope addressed to “all men of good will”, rather than only to Catholics. That pope was Good Pope John, who wrote this encyclical in 1962, and passed two months after giving this message of hope to the world. Perhaps Good Pope John was prescient of the Golden Age and how Peace is coming to Earth.
Now, we learn from the Cosmic Hierarchy that there are many worlds – indeed parallel universes – where we have lived and do live now in our infinite soul story. At this time of Christmas, the Angels sing “And on Earth peace to all those of goodwill“. Whenever we think of the Angels, and sing of the Angels, they actually come and join us. Time and again, the Cosmic Hierarchy has shared with us that the Angels have no abode and are not limited in time and space. They may go anywhere, anywhen, any Universe. When we call, they come and render assistance according to our need.
At this time of Christmas, we recall what Cosmic Sai Baba has taught about the one we call Jesus. In the Koran, he is known as Issa, or Isa. Even Cosmic Sai Baba – when he was in the body – told all that Jesus’s real name was Isa. Cosmic Sai Baba also shared that Jesus was not born like any of us: we are born because we want to be born, because – as we are taught by all in the Cosmic Hierarchy – we have a soul contract, and we come here in human birth to fulfil a certain task.
Jesus – as Cosmic Sai Baba has told – took up human birth according to his own will. He was a karana janma, a birth taken for a purpose. As we enter this season of Christmas, may we all rediscover joy in our lives. We en–joy giving and receiving; we en–joy the company of our loved ones, we en–joy the festivities and sacred dimensions of this time. Cosmic Sai Baba once gave the definition of JOY – Jesus first, Others next, Yourself last. Whenever we serve the divinity, the sacred spirit in the other we encounter, we come to know joy and bliss within.
So as the Angels sing on High, and the peoples on Earth experience Joy, we offer this simple image below, and a wish: May there be Peace in all the worlds, Samasta Loka Sukhino Bhavantu
A Christmas Message
After spending almost 6 months in France We have now returned. ‘Holy Spirit’ led us into experiencing some very difficult past life experiences that I have recorded on this website. John & I feel stronger now and free. I find I am no longer reacting with mild anger at emotional ‘buttons’ that my husband was able to push. I forgive him for that, and I am grateful, as it has assisted me in facing trauma I experienced in another life – that has now healed.
I am calm and at peace with myself and the skin disease I have suffered all my life, has now gone! I feel blessed.
Our Mission is almost complete – just tying up loose ends – with a sense of joy and a feeling of ‘at last.’
While living in Acquitaine, France I kept seeing posters advertising Kenneth Branaugh’s Film ‘Cinderella’ A modern version of the old story – full of wonderful messages and most uplifting. It drew upon things French and took me back to the ‘Old Acquitaine’ when is was the place of Troubadors, dancing, theatre and poetry. Good manners and chivalrous behaviour to ladies – a charming time, a magical time. The theme for Cinderella and her trials in life were, “Have Courage and be kind.”
Let us see the World as we want it to be, Peaceful, Respectful and full of goodwill to all.

Alcheringa … when the first ancestors were created
This is the story of fifty thousand people coming from the Pleiades in a giant starship to found the human race on Earth.
It is not a simple story, but one filled with intrigue, deception, and the planned destruction of a mission that left only ninety survivors to be cast upon the Earth.
Part of the story was about their survival on a planet whose atmosphere they could barely breathe, a sun they could not expose themselves to, and a dangerous and poisonous environment that took many of the survivor’s lives.
Their struggle and success in creating our race is the miracle they brought. It is our past and they are our heritage.
