July 2017 Newsletter

Hello Everyone,

This past month has been exciting for many reasons. We read of suggestions that the really fast shooting stars come from another galaxy (Andomeda, we wonder?) and how researchers are finding the “missing link” between the hairy upstanding ape-like creature and homo sapiens, man, imbued with the Crystal Light within. We look at lucid dreaming and magenta colour cards, as Cosmic Sai Baba recently told that the colour magenta is a door to the higher dimensions. Once again, we look at Crop Circles, and note that the Wiltshire Police now claim that Crop Circles are criminal damage and urge people to ring 999 if they see anyone making one! Finally, we look to the Tutankhamen mysteries and consider a new tomb, possibly that of Egyptian leading lady Ankhesenamun.

The Fastest Stars in Our Milky Way Are High-Speed Runaways From Another Galaxy

Astronomers might finally have an explanation for why the fastest-moving stars in our galaxy have picked up speeds that seem to defy the laws of physics – they’re actually runaway stars from other galaxies orbiting the Milky Way.

That’s the conclusion drawn by scientists who studied the latest data from our most powerful telescopes and ran computer simulations to back up their new hypothesis.

These stars, known as hypervelocity stars, are moving so fast they’re capable of escaping the gravitational pull of the Milky Way altogether, and that’s a much quicker pace than we’d expect: a velocity of up to 1,200 km/s (746 miles/sec) as opposed to the maximum 100 kilometres per second (62 miles/sec) velocity of most stars.

The team of researchers from the University of Cambridge in the UK thinks that this breakneck pace could be set by stellar explosions from other galaxies, including the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) dwarf galaxy.

“These stars have just jumped from an express train – no wonder they’re fast,” says one of the researchers, Rob Izzard.

“This also explains their position in the sky, because the fastest runaways are ejected along the orbit of the LMC towards the constellations of Leo and Sextans.”

The astronomers used data from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey against their own models to show that runaway stars could be created from binary star systems with two stars at their centre rather than one.

If one of these stars explodes as a supernova, then the other can be catapulted across space at the speed it was orbiting, creating a runaway star.

We’ve known about runaway stars for a while, but those created in our own Milky Way don’t reach hypervelocity speeds – that’s because binary stars can’t pick up that sort of pace without merging together.

Another factor must be at play to kick up the speed before the stars can merge.

And so if the runaway star was thrown out by a galaxy also travelling at high speeds outside the Milky Way, then we could be talking about hypervelocity speeds. The LMC orbits our galaxy at 400 km/s (249 miles/sec).

Astronomers had thought hypervelocity speeds could have been generated by supermassive black holes, until a high-speed binary star was found without any such black hole in sight. Other ideas put forward in the past included disintegrating dwarf galaxies or chaotic star clusters.

None of these hypotheses satisfied the University of Cambridge researchers, and none of them really explained why hypervelocity stars are only found in a certain part of the sky. Around 20 hypervelocity stars have been spotted so far, and they’ve all been around the Leo and Sextans constellations.

The research has been published in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.

Ancient Deep Skull Still Holds Big Surprises 60 Years After it was Unearthed

Thousands of years ago, the ancestors of modern humans left Africa to embark on a journey that would eventually take them across the globe. Yet we still know precious little about the momentous journeys they undertook.

Now, new research by my team and me significantly recasts how we think about the early peopling of Southeast Asia and the relationship the earliest humans had to the indigenous people of the region today.

Southeast Asia spans some 4.5 million square kilometres and is today home to roughly one tenth of the world’s population. Yet, we still know very little about their origins beyond a few thousand years ago.

Yet archaeologists have found only six sets of remains dating beyond 25,000 years ago from across the region. This is the closest we’ve come to having skeletons of the first modern humans themselves.

They were scattered far and wide: found at Wadjak in Indonesia, Niah Cave in Malaysian Borneo, Callao Cave and Tabon Cave in the Philippines, Tam Pa Ling in Laos and Moh Khiew Cave in Thailand. Strikingly, the Wadjak remains were found in 1888-90, and the Tam Pa Ling bones only uncovered in 2010. This gives a sense of just how rare and valuable early human remains are and how infrequently such discoveries are made.

(Everyone seems to have forgotten the Java Man skull that exists in the London Museum – dated 800,000 years old?)

Wild Herbs for Lucid Dreaming

For thousands of years, we humans have placed a ton of value on the content of these bedtime reveries, deriving inner wisdom and even premonitions from them. Dreaming feels like a birthright, an extra sense that allows us to process both rationally and spiritually while our body rests up.

They are one of behavioural science’s biggest mysteries, with no agreed-upon theory of their origin and specific purpose. For some, dreams occur nightly, but others never experience them at all.

One thing is for sure – many who don’t dream wish they did.

Since I was young, I’ve had them on a regular basis, but have always known there were deeper places to go in this state of consciousness. The quest for many is to achieve the lucid dream, or “knowing we’re dreaming” inside the dream.

The lucid dreamers I know are able to navigate their dreamscape with an awakened mind, asking characters they come across pretty insightful questions about their spirit path. They can run, jump, and fly at will, gaining profound inner wisdom from the experience.

If you would like to dream more at night, and perhaps experience the magical lucid dream, there are three wild herbs that have been used throughout time to accomplish just that.

The herbs listed are all 100% legal, and easy to get ahold of. However, please do your own research before trying any of them – herbs are medicine and they should be treated with proper caution. These plants each have a variety of other medicinal uses, but we’re focusing solely on their dream-enhancing effects.

Migaloo Sighted Again

A white humpback whale, known as Migaloo, was spotted swimming off Australia’s Gold Coast on Tuesday. The whale was making its annual migration towards the Great Barrier Reef. Up to 5,000 humpbacks migrate north up Australia’s east coast between April and August each year from waters in the Antarctic to feed and breed in warm tropical waters

Crop Circle News

A common sighting? A crop circle nearby the White Horse of Wiltshire? It is thought the crop circle is a representation of the Merkabah

Crop Circles are Criminal Damage say Police

Wiltshire Police has officially outlawed the phenomenon, issuing a public decree this month.

That could make for some interesting arrests – last year an off-duty Wiltshire policeman reportedly saw aliens inspecting a local crop formation, according to national newspaper reports.

Within the last few days the force issued a press release, which stated: “With summer well and truly under way, we have seen an increase of crop circles appearing across the county.

“They might seem harmless but they actually have a huge negative impact on the hard-working landowners and farmers whose crops are damaged.

“Creating a crop circle is criminal damage and an offence.”

You can read more about the Wiltshire Police advising to call 999 if a crop circle is found.

Straight after that, of course, the crop cirles “moved” from the customary location in Wiltshire to West Sussex and Bedforshire!

Tomb could be that of Tutankhamun’s wife and Egyptian leading lady Ankhesenamun

Egyptologists believe they may be on the verge of a major discovery related to a leading lady of ancient Egypt. A new tomb found in the Valley of the Kings may have been created as the final resting place for the famous Egyptian queen Ankhesenamun – wife of Tutankhamun.

Live Science reports that the researchers were tipped off to the tomb’s existence by the discovery of four foundation deposits which Zahi Hawass described as “caches or holes in the ground that were filled with votive objects such as pottery vessels, food remains and other tools as a sign that a tomb construction is being initiated.”

According to a National Geographic interview, the researchers were examining the site between February and May. Hawass said a follow-up examination using radar showed “a substructure that could be the entrance of a tomb.”

Ankhesenamun was a longstanding member of ancient Egyptian royalty. Her story begins as the third of six daughters to Pharaoh Akhenaten and his Great Royal Wife Nefertiti. Ankhesenamun married her half-brother Tutankhamun when he was just 8 to 10 years old and she was 13. It is said the couple had stillborn twins. She may have also been briefly married to Tutankhamun’s successor, Ay, (believed by many to be her maternal grandfather). There have also been suggestions that Ankhesenamun may have been married to her father for a time as well.

This may be shocking for people today, but it was a rather common practice for the royals of ancient Egypt. As April Holloway explains:

“Marriage within family was not uncommon in ancient Egypt and was practiced among royalty as a means of perpetuating the royal lineage. The pharaohs believed they were descended from the gods and incest was seen as acceptable so as to retain the sacred bloodline. However, what they were unaware of at the time was the severe consequences of family inbreeding.”

Alcheringa … when the first ancestors were created

This is the story of fifty thousand people coming from the Pleiades in a giant starship to found the human race on Earth.

It is not a simple story, but one filled with intrigue, deception, and the planned destruction of a mission that left only ninety survivors to be cast upon the Earth.

Part of the story was about their survival on a planet whose atmosphere they could barely breathe, a sun they could not expose themselves to, and a dangerous and poisonous environment that took many of the survivor’s lives.

Their struggle and success in creating our race is the miracle they brought. It is our past and they are our heritage.
